A Federal Savings Bank (CEF) released its new account type for those who have income between R$50 and R$2,000. According to information from the bank, opening an account is quite practical and bureaucracy-free. The program is called Conta Caixa Fácil.

To open your free account at CAIXA, all you need to do is present your identity document and CPF. Furthermore, it is not necessary to prove address or income.

Those who choose to open a Caixa Fácil Account will be able to make deposits directly into their account using cash. Deposits can be made at Caixa branches and also at bank correspondents, while checks can only be made at Caixa branches.

Caixa also confirmed that the Easy Account cannot have a balance greater than R$3,000.00 at any time, nor deposits that add up to this amount in total. According to the bank, the Caixa Fácil Account's operating hours are restricted to the period from 6:00 am to midnight.

In the Easy Cash Account There are no fees charged for opening and maintaining the account or checking the balance. However, after the fifth withdrawal or the fifth statement request, a fee will be charged according to the current table.

Advantages of the Caixa Fácil Account

To sign up for a new account, the interested party must take their ID and CPF to a Caixa Aqui correspondent, Lottery Unit or Caixa Agency. After a few days, the customer will receive their Caixa Fácil Account Card at home.

Finally, make your purchases more conveniently by paying for purchases with your card by direct debiting your account at accredited establishments. Simply enter your password on the store's terminal and enjoy this additional convenience.

The opening of a CAIXA Fácil Account is subject to the consultation and confirmation of the REGULAR registration status of the CPF of the account holders and legal representatives, if applicable. Other registration restrictions do not prevent the opening of the account.

It is worth noting that no amount is required to open the account. However, an account with a zero balance and no activity in the period of 360 days is automatically closed.

Can I withdraw money from my account without a card? Can I do this at any branch?

It is possible to make withdrawals without a card at a branch other than the branch holding the account, for a maximum amount of R$1,000.00 per event, limited to 1 withdrawal per semester, upon presentation of an identity document, signature on the Withdrawal Guide form and entry of the account password.

For withdrawals without a card at the account branch, the daily value limit is the amount that can be withdrawn without prior communication to the branch.
