It's confirmed! State Department of Education Alagoas will open your new notice of contest public (SEDUC-AL 2021 Competition). The organization will be carried out by Cebraspe. In an internal process, the proposal from the committee was received and accepted on the 5th by the Secretariat of Planning, Management and Heritage of Alagoas (Seplag).
Now, the department awaits approval from the State Attorney General's Office (PGE) on the draft contract. Only after approval can the document officializing the bank be published.
In a publication in the State Official Gazette, Governor Renan Filho confirmed that 3,000 vacancies will be offered for teachers, with a higher education requirement.
Now, with the authorization, the department will proceed to hire the organizing committee. After that, the notice may be published. The expectation is that the opening document will be released. between April and June 2021.
In a decree published on February 2, it was reported that the organizing committee for the competition has already been formed. See the working group, as informed in the document:

The SEDUC AL 2021 competition
The SEDUC-AL competition will have vacancies for Professor. To compete, it will be necessary to have a degree in the desired area.
“All specialties are included, and in principle there may be additional details from the previous competition,” said the secretary. Therefore, based on the latest notice, the vacancies will be distributed among the following areas:
- Arts;
- Biology;
- Sciences;
- Physical education;
- Philosophy;
- Physical;
- Geography;
- History;
- English;
- Mathematics;
- Portuguese;
- Chemistry; and
- Sociology.
“As we held the competition for 800 vacancies last time and it covered all these areas, the competition for 3,000 vacancies, which we are holding now, will include all these areas, and, eventually, if there is a new area it will be included”, said the secretary.
To apply for one of the positions, candidates must have a higher education degree in the respective area of interest. According to salary data for the teaching profession, considering the year 2018, the salaries offered to teachers reached R$1,381.21 (short degree and 20-hour workday) and R$1,067.56 (master's degree and 40-hour workday).
On January 12, when announcing the opening of five public competitions, including that of the Education Department, the Governor highlighted that the State faces the challenge of holding public competitions in all areas to improve the public policies provided by the state.
“We are managing to make people’s will prevail, even in the midst of such a challenging scenario,” revealed Renan.
Latest SEDUC-AL competition notice
The last SEDUC-AL competition notice was published in 2017. At the time, the notice had 850 vacancies, distributed across several areas.
Organized by Cebraspe, the competition included objective tests, assessment of qualifications and medical examination. According to information from the organizing committee and the State Secretariat for Planning, Management and Heritage (Seplag), the Government of Alagoas registered a total of 14,322 applicants for the competition.
The competition, organized by the Brazilian Center for Research in Evaluation and Selection and Event Promotion (Cebraspe), from the University of Brasília (UnB), better known as Cespe/Unb, was responsible for the competition. The vacancies were for the positions of Professor of Arts, Professor of Biology, Professor of Sciences, Professor of Physical Education, Professor of Philosophy, Professor of Physics, Professor of Geography, Professor of History, Professor of English, Professor of Mathematics, Professor of Portuguese, Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Sociology. The salary was R$2,195.13, for a 30-hour work week.
Objective test included the following subjects:
- Portuguese language;
- Legislation;
- Educational Technologies and socio-emotional skills; and
- Specific Knowledge.
