A State Secretariat for Education Amapá expects to open a new call for applications contest public (SEED AP Contest 2021) soon. After filing a Public Civil Action, the State Public Prosecutor's Office (MP-AP) obtained a favorable ruling that determines that a new competition will be held in 2021.
According to information from the agency, dated March 9, the determination came into effect on February 25, 2021 and has a term of up to 180 days, without costs and without fees. In other words, it has until August 24 to be complied with.
The ruling was granted by Judge André Gonçalves de Menezes, through the Public Prosecutor's Office for the Defense of Education (PJDE). It requires the Government of Amapá (GEA) to hold a public selection process in the education sector. So far, the State Department of Education (SEED) has not taken a position.
According to information from the MP-AP, the PJDE, together with the Education Department, held three administrative hearings to discuss the implementation of the new competition. However, the state governor never showed any interest in implementing it.
The head of PJDE, Public Prosecutor Roberto Alvares, stated that the new sentence is necessary to value employees in the educational area.
“The principles of Public Administration must be respected. This hiring of professionals, which does not guarantee their rights, is unacceptable,” he stressed.
