MEI Advantages: New car with 30% discount and loans of up to R$ 20 thousand interest-free

Find out how to get a discount of up to 30% when purchasing a brand new car and learn about Sebrae loans to boost your business.

If you are an Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI) and need a vehicle, you can get a discount of up to 30% on the purchase of a brand new vehicle using the National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ). The condition is also valid for self-employed microentrepreneurs in activity, for rural producers and for People with Disabilities (PcD).

Depending on the value of the vehicle and the brand, discounts vary from 2.5% to 30%. The number of vehicles to be purchased and the model are also taken into account. Vehicles intended for the service sector receive a greater reduction in the rate.

How to buy a car with a discount using your CNPJ
To obtain a car with a discount upon presentation of the CNPJ, it is necessary to present the articles of association at the time of purchase, as well as the current state registration. Furthermore, some manufacturers may require the e-CNPJ, a digital certificate that authenticates you as a legal entity.

Furthermore, for Individual Microentrepreneurs, annual revenue cannot exceed R$1,040,000 and when purchasing more expensive vehicles, the requirements may be higher.

    Available models
It is important to note that discounts on car purchases using a CNPJ do not follow a fixed table and vary according to the brand. Some of the models with discounts available are:

Caoa Chery, Chevrolet, Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Hyundai, JAC, Jeep, Kia, Lifan, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault, Suzuki, Toyota and Volkswagen.

    Conditions for purchase
It is worth noting that from the moment the vehicle is purchased by the CNPJ, it becomes linked to the company. Therefore, if the employee fails to pay the IPVA, or problems are caused by the vehicle, restrictions for the company may be generated.

Furthermore, if the person has tax debts, the car runs the risk of being seized and mortgaged.

    Advantages and disadvantages
The advantage of purchasing cars with a discount through a CNPJ is the reduction in the amount paid for accessories. In addition, the order can be placed directly at the factory, free from dealership mediation and profits.

However, it is important to note that the benefit is only valid for the purchase of brand new cars, and the microentrepreneur may have to wait longer for the product and after-sales service. Furthermore, some manufacturers may reduce the warranty period, considering that the vehicle's mileage will be higher.

    Sebrae Loan
Another advantage for MEIs that can boost their business is the Zero Interest Program, a type of credit offered by Sebrae with the aim of granting financing with zero interest rates, to ensure that the business has positive growth.

The guaranteed amounts range from R$1,000 to R$20,000, and the entrepreneur can pay the amount in up to 36 installments. It is important to note that the program is currently only offered in the state of São Paulo and is exclusively intended for Individual Microentrepreneurs.

However, to apply, the user cannot have any registration restrictions. In addition, there will be no waiting period to start the payment and analysis to see if the business is eligible for the program.

The financing guaranteed by the program must be for products that strengthen the company's activities, such as purchases of machinery, vehicle accessories, tools, motorcycles, mopeds and utility vehicles and investment in working capital.

If you are interested in signing up for the Zero Interest Program, you must access the Sebrae website. You must also look for a Sebrae SP Regional Office, with a Certificate of completion of the Super MEI program, simple copies of the CNPJ card, Certificate of MEI status and the latest annual declaration (DANS SIMEI).

In addition to these, the following documents are required from the individual:

    Certified copies of ID and CPF;
    Proof of residence.
