“There is no need to go to the CRAs, Community Centers, agencies or anywhere else to access the card. It will be delivered door to door.. The moment the person receives this card, the amount will be available. It is not to go to the bank to withdraw. It is to go to the supermarket to make the purchase”, he revealed.
Who is entitled to assistance?
The State Governor, during the presentation, revealed that the families benefiting were selected from the Single Registry for social programs of the Federal Government. The reference data used in the selection of beneficiaries is from November 2020.
According to the launch, families living in extreme poverty, with four or more people and active in the Bolsa Família registry, will be assisted.
The State Government released the access to the website www.auxilio.am.gov.br to consult on the criteria adopted in granting the benefit.
Citizens will be able to consult the portal from the day February 1st, simply by providing your CPF number and date of birth. On the portal, you will also be able to check which establishments are accredited for using the card.
Will emergency aid for the entire country be paid in 2021?
President Jair Bolsonaro spoke again about the extension of emergency aid for 2021. The head of the federal executive, after a long period without touching on the subject, denied that there is an idea of extending the benefit at this time in Brazil.
In the conversation, one of the president's supporters asked if he was in favor of extending the benefit in 2021. Bolsonaro responded by saying that he regretted the number of people who were in need in Brazil.
However, at the same time, he said that there was not much he could do. According to him, the country could not spend much more at this time. So by this logic, the country would not be able to pay the installments to the population.
“The word is emergency. What is emergency? It is not lasting, it is not for life, it is not retirement. I regret that many people are in need, but our debt capacity is at its limit,” he said.
The president's speech comes a few days after his candidates for president of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate raised the possibility of creating a new aid program. This stance ended up irritating several sectors of the market.
