Teachers who work in the area of sport in schools and other public institutions have the opportunity to receive free training. These are opportunities provided by the MEC (Ministry of Education), which aim to enhance the careers of Olympic and Paralympic educators.
The courses, which are available online, are free of charge. Furthermore, they will be available starting this March for educators who work in a variety of sports segments. In other words, they could be physical education teachers in the basic education system, for example, or pedagogical coordinators in this area, teacher assistants, assistant educators, etc.
According to the MEC, the initiative aims to promote sports in public schools, promoting the values of sport throughout the school community.
MEC course details
You courses offered by the MEC will have, together, more than 120 hours. Participants received certification immediately after completing the training to prove their knowledge.
Namely, physical education teachers or those responsible for physical activities in schools, as well as pedagogical coordinators, can register, according to information from the Ministry of Education.
To register for the courses, interested sports educators must access the portal boost.org.br and follow the appropriate steps.
In addition to the courses, scavenger hunts, videos, lesson plans and complementary content will be available, ready to be applied to students in early childhood education, elementary school and high school.
